SUMMARY:PUBLIC-PRIVATE SECTOR DIALOGUE ON REGIONAL INTEGRATION
DESCRIPTION:Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) was established for the purpose of promoting economic integration. To achieve this aim\, ECOWAS adopted certain instruments including ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme\, Free Movement Protocol\, the Common Industrial policy\, the Supplementary protocol on Competition and of late the Common External Tariff (CET) which should aid trade across the region. However\, despite all these\, achieving regional integration still poses to be a challenge in West Africa.   \n To address this challenge\, NANTS in collaboration with GIZ therefore decided to conduct a 2– day dialogue bringing together stakeholders in the public and private sector to identify best methods achieving regional integration for the good of  Nigeria and West Africa region. \n+ Calendar

SUMMARY:SENSITIZING FARMERS AT STATE LEVELS ON THE AGRCULTURAL BUDGET.
DESCRIPTION:Event Overview\n\nNigerians at the grassroots are mostly consulted only during electoral periods and are neglected when policy issues which concerns them are raised. For this reason\, NANTS puts in the effort to sensitize citizens at the grass root levels on decisions taken by the federal government particularly on issues around agriculture and trade. \nNANTS in partnership with Oxfam sensitized small scale farmers in Benue and Plateau states on the 2016 proposed agricultural budget.  \nThe farmers were enlightened on how best to advocate for more investments in agriculture through the national budget. \n+ Calendar
