The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) is an umbrella body of traders which constitutes the largest voting constituency in Nigeria, and much more when added to the farmers in her membership. NANTS has developed a Traders Charter of demand and farmers manifesto with which to engage with political parties and their candidates vying for political offices and seeking votes of our constituencies. On the account of the above, NANTS organized  town hall meetings of farmers and traders in the State for the unveiling, endorsement and dialogue with representatives of parties and candidates for the 2019 general elections in January 2019. The meeting affords NANTS to touch base with candidates seeking for our votes, securing their frank commitments in order to eliminate vote buying. This way, genuine candidates that would promote and work towards the economic growth and sustainable development of the nation would be elected irrespective of their party inclinations.

These town-hall meetings were held in imo, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Katsina, Rivers, Oyo, Ogun and Delta states as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). These series of event led to the commitments from various political parties’ candidates towards actualizing policy demanded from the manifesto.
