Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) was established for the purpose of promoting economic integration. To achieve this aim, ECOWAS adopted certain instruments including ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme, Free Movement Protocol, the Common Industrial policy, the Supplementary protocol on Competition and of late the Common External Tariff (CET) which should aid trade across the region. However, despite all these, achieving regional integration still poses to be a challenge in West Africa.
To address this challenge, NANTS in collaboration with GIZ therefore decided to conduct a 2– day dialogue bringing together stakeholders in the public and private sector to identify best methods achieving regional integration for the good of Nigeria and West Africa region.
