Upon final completion of work at the NANTS newly constructed modern Abattoir and meat factory, which was supported by ECOWAS and the Swiss Government, mock operations and training took place today to exhibit/showcase best practices and skills in animal slaughtering, meat processing, preservation, packaging, handling, transportation, and marketing.
Workers in all units of the entire facility are to compulsorily remain dressed and kitted ‘from hair to toe’ in accordance with contemporary best practices that promote health, hygienic, and environmental standards and regulations. It was indeed a successful practical demonstration and worthwhile experience.
