The National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANTS) extends warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which will be observed tomorrow, Friday, September 5, 2025, as declared by the Federal Government.
As the nation joins in celebrating this important religious event, NANTS recognizes the values of peace, unity, humility, and compassion exemplified by the Holy Prophet. The Association therefore calls on its members and the Nigerian trading community at large to use this period of reflection to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, tolerance, and mutual respect within our markets and communities.
The President of NANTS, in a goodwill message, noted that:
“Eid-ul-Mawlid is not only a time of celebration but also an opportunity for us as traders and citizens to imbibe the virtues of honesty, fairness, and compassion in our daily dealings. As the Prophet taught, integrity in business is a mark of true faith. We therefore urge our members to let these values guide their engagements in the market and beyond.”
NANTS also commends the Federal Government for the public holiday, which allows Nigerians to observe the day in prayer and with their families. The Association further encourages traders to use the opportunity to reflect on the socio-economic challenges facing the country and commit to contributing positively to Nigeria’s economic growth.
The Association reassures its members of its continued advocacy for a better trading environment, improved policies for SMEs, and sustained empowerment programs that will enhance wealth creation and strengthen Nigeria’s role in regional and global trade.
Once again, NANTS congratulates the Muslim faithful on this auspicious occasion and prays that the celebration brings peace, prosperity, and blessings to all Nigerians.
